Lib Dems win King's Norton Boys' School Mock Election

Dave Radcliffe said: "Tomorrow, voters in the Birmingham Selly Oak constituency have the same opportunity to vote for real change."

Students at King's Norton Boys' School in the Birmingham Selly Oak constituency have voted for the Liberal Democrats. In advance of the actual polling day on Thursday 6 May, the Lib Dems gained a decisive 146 vote majority in the mock election.

Dave Radcliffe, who attended a hustings event at King's Norton Boys' School during the election campaign, said: "I am grateful for the support of so many of the students at King's Norton Boys' School. Tomorrow, voters in the Birmingham Selly Oak constituency have the same opportunity to vote for real change."

"Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for fairer taxes, for extra funding for schools and for cleaning up politics. Together, we can make the difference."

The full result of the mock election was:

  • Lib Dems - 266 votes (40.1% of a possible 655 voters)

  • Labour - 120 votes (18.3%)

  • Conservative - 84 votes (12.8%)

  • BNP - 69 votes (10.5%)

  • Green - 43 votes (6.5%)

  • UKIP - 12 votes (1.8%)

  • Christian Party - 7 votes (1%)
