Thank You! Fri 2nd May 2008 Selly Oak Ward councillor Alistair Dow has been re-elected with an increased majority of 674. Speaking after the declaration of the result, Alistair Dow thanked all those who had supported him.

Campaigning for a Cleaner, Greener and Safer Birmingham Wed 9th Apr 2008 Liberal Democrats in Birmingham have launched their vision for Birmingham in preparation for the local elections on 1 May 2008. Details of the local election candidates have also been announced.

Lib Dems Welcome Low Council Tax Rise and Better Services Thu 27th Mar 2008 Local Liberal Democrats have welcomed a below inflation council tax increase for the third year running. The rise of only 1.9% is one of the lowest in the country and equivalent to less than 37p per week for a Band B household. This compares to an average annual increase of 5.6% when Labour ran the Council.

Money for Selly Oak Park Play Area Tue 19th Feb 2008 Local Lib Dem Councillor Alistair Dow has welcomed new money for Selly Oak Park. £20,000 has been agreed to replace the current unsafe surface and some of the equipment in the play area.
